Felicity Dempsey has been immersed in the scientific world all her working life. On retirement a couple of
years ago, she challenged herself to explore her creative side! She enrolled in a creative writing
school and over the last 2 years has been developing her writing craft.
Although she originally wanted to write her family memoirs, she discovered she really enjoyed
writing stories for children. With the encouragement and support of the course director and some
inspiration from her grandchildren ,she started to write a collection of four stories about a magical
granny and her two young grandsons.
She has previously had two short stories published in The Ocean magazine and is currently working
on a screen play.

Her debut book, Granny Bridget’s Fairy Tales will be published by Atlantic Papers in September 2025. Watch this space!
